A little more about Mortgage Companion.
Mortgage Companion is owned and run by Martin Rader. I specialise in Mortgage and Protection Advice. My task is to search a comprehensive range of mortgage products from across the market, my objective being to meet all of your needs, not just look for the lowest rate. I understand that everyone’s different, and that’s why my mortgage planning approach has to be as individual as you are.
My purpose is to help you with selecting the right mortgage and protection to suit you needs and to also to be your first port of call with any snags or bumps in the road you might encounter in the property transaction process itself, both buying and selling.
I also have a wealth of personal experience in the property buying process, having bought and sold both residential and buy to let maisonettes, flats, studio apartments and houses as well as commercial property and land. Needless to say I have encountered many, many hurdles during the transaction process in my time giving me a vast level of experience and knowledge in the property purchase and sales process that will be available to you as part of my service.
I would like you to think of us as your companion in your property buying journey because as a buyer you have precious few professionals acting on your behalf. Everyone at Mortgage Companion is dedicated to creating and developing a meaningful, long-term relationship with our clients that is based on understanding, knowledge and trust. I run a company of action: proactive and professional in all that we do.
I am happy to meet on a day, time and location most convenient to you, preferably in person if the situation allows, by telephone or zoom, teams or google meet , with no obligation to you. All meetings are arranged by prior appointment.
We do charge a fee for submitting applications. These charges are based on two considerations: the loan amount and the complexity of your individual circumstances. We will provide you with a free initial consultation and we will always explain exactly what our fees will be before you choose to proceed with an application. As we offer a bespoke service our charges can vary but our typical fee is £295.00.
What is Independent Advice?
Mortgage Companion are able to select a comprehensive range of mortgages from across the market for our clients. With such a wide choice of companies to choose from, our clients can be reassured that they are not simply being provided with a standard recommendation – but are getting personalised advice to suit their requirements.
To ensure you get personal advice your financial advisor will collect certain details about you and your circumstances to enable him/her to advise you accordingly. Remember to be as open and honest as you can, because the advisor’s recommendation will be based on the information you provide.
We always provide all clients with the relevant important disclosure documents, detailing the following: information on services provided by the firm, how the firm is paid for the business it conducts, their complaints procedure, Data Protection and coverage under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
